Our History

Premium non-silica abrasives and silica sand products for a variety of industries.

Selkirk Silica began operations over 50 years ago as a supplier to the foundry, blasting and water filtration industries in Canada. Several years later Trig Industrial was formed to meet the increasing need to supply non-silica and low silica products to sandblasting and surface preparation industries.

In 2013 the company was acquired and under new ownership, it expanded into new areas including recreational sands, landscaping and environmental products, as well as abrasive blast equipment.

We are certified in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Our fleet of 13 pneumatic tankers ensures that we can always get your products in a timely fashion.

We have dedicated tankers for our silica sand and for our non-silica abrasives to ensure that there is no possibility of contamination.
